Description: Derco Aerospace, Inc., an industry-leading aerospace distributor of spares, components, and services, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Program Manager who is looking for a challenging work environment. Selected individual will be responsible for directing all phases of assigned program(s) or subsystems of a major program. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Education Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Desired qualifications include: 2 or more years of programs or supply chain in the aerospace industry, attention to detail, strong communication skills and proven analytical abilities. The candidate should have logistics and aviation background with an understanding of supply chain aspects of aircraft and aviation products. An ability to analyze fleet data and develop logistics solutions is essential to this position. Ability to be a self-starter and work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required. Familiarity with OEM/wholesale distribution channels preferred. Aviation/aerospace industry background is a plus with the following skills:
• Reading and interpreting complex request for proposals
• Ability to use aircraft/component IPL (Illustrated Parts List)
• Advanced abilities in ERP systems and Microsoft Office products
• Analyzing customer data to determine proper solution to implement
• Operating in a team environment
• Managing multiple priorities
