We are looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant within the Indirect Tax team in our Melbourne office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.
Your key responsibilities
Drawing on your current skills and experience in indirect tax, you will work on transactions and projects providing technical advice and support to clients.
You will help clients manage their indirect tax risks, comply efficiently with their regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities to improve their overall indirect tax position.
Working across multiple projects and clients, you will have the opportunity to advise clients on key indirect tax issues, including working with data analytics and tax technologies that can help clients meet their business goals.
Skills and attributes for success
Strong technical skills in one or more indirect taxes including GST, Fuel Tax Credits, LCT, WET or stamp duty.
Up to 5 years’ experience in indirect tax, preferably from a law firm, within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
Strong analytical and research skills
Ability to build working relationships and remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience or interest in the application of technology to indirect tax matters
