CVS Health Billing Specialist in MacHesney Park, Illinois
As a Billing Specialist, you will work in a pharmacy operation setting at our Patient Financial Service Centers by working to submit patient’s claims to both commercial and government payors. You will work out of a queue and manage the billing cycle process,processing account reconciliations and adjustments on a weekly basis. You will be ensuring claims are being submitted clean to payors as to not delay the reimbursement process. As a Billing Specialist you will f ollow up on all claims that are missing supporting documentation or pending authorizations in order to be processed. You will ensure that all dates of service and services rendered match the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and ultimately submit the claims to payors for payment. You will help to determine which claims are un-billable due to missing documentation and perform adjustments on accounts as necessary.
- 1+ years of experience in a professional environment
Home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME) experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Experience medical billing or collections work or experience working with accounts payable (A/P) or accounts receivable (A/R).
Experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
