Network Administrator for Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) for RoKAF Operational Squadron located in Cheongju, Korea
The Network Administrator will perform software and hardware management on the ALIS internal networks and devices network, which includes controlling, planning, allocating, deploying, coordinating, and monitoring the resources of the ALIS networks. This person will coordinate with local base agencies as necessary to facilitate the integration of ALIS nodes with base network infrastructure. Network administration tasks may include but are not limited to: network planning, predetermined traffic routing to support load balancing, configuration management, fault management, security management, and performance management.
- Must be willing to travel, to include CONUS/OCONUS deployments for extended periods depending on operational needs .
Position may require the ability to perform in an arduous duty environment and subject to all applicable U.S. Government requirements. A detailed list of these requirements will be available at the time of interview and employment will be contingent on agreement and compliance with such requirements.
Successful candidate must be capable of passing USN medical, dental and overseas screening requirements and must maintain their medical fitness for this position.
The selected applicant selected may be required to work at deployed locations, work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.
Deployment and continued employment is contingent upon successful receipt of Program Special Access clearances AND completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin’s training locations prior to international assignment. Training will occur primarily at Luke AFB in Glendale, AZ. Other locations may include but are not limited to: Nellis AFB, NV, Hill AFB, UT; Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Yuma, AZ; Beaufort, SC.
Relocation: Relocation is available for this exciting international assignment
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Network Administrators require strong working knowledge of layer 2 and 3 networking along with production and administrative procedures for highly visible Information Technology (IT) enabled Activities.
Specific job requirements include knowledge and experience with: • Wide Area Network (WAN)/Local Area Network (LAN) Infrastructure & Technology • Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) • Network Topologies • Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/VPN • Network Switches • Firewalls • Unix • Intrusion Detection System (IDS) • IP • Layer 2 and 3 Networking. • Windows and Unix/Linux systems administration and operating systems. • Network routers, switches, taps and firewalls.
The successful candidate must have: • Demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare designs for networks in relation to intrusion detection systems. • Ability to build and work with Network modeling tools • Ability to travel to other sites may be required. • Demonstrated experience with the management, design, and installation of servers, routers, switches, and network taps in a business environment. • Extensive troubleshooting experience with Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems. • Extensive troubleshooting experience with network hardware including but not limited to Juniper/Cisco switches, routers and Net Optics taps. • Demonstrated PC and networking skills, including NetMeeting, conferencing servers. - Working knowledge of reading blueprints and wiring server racks • Systems administration experience with servers and network installations/integrations. • Ability to travel approximately 4 days/ month • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines • Driven by quality customer service • Ability to communicate effectively both in a written and verbal manner with management and subordinates • Ability to coordinate local base communications and base firewall interface (INOSC, MCNOSC, etc.)
Desired skills 1) Previous experience, current knowledge, and developed skills in network administration, are highly desired and preferred.
2) The following is a list of desired certifications for a NW Admin: • Network+ Certification • Security+ CE Certification • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) • JUNIPER JUNOS • General Dynamics Encryption Management System (GEMS)
3) Experience and knowledge of Korean language and culture would be a plus
