Bank of America Custom Credit Executive in Los Angeles, California

Job Description:

Member of the Custom Lending Hedge Fund Credit solutions team that provides hedge fund credit expertise for US Trust PCA & ML FA/PBIG teams Nationally. The position works with Credit Executive, Client teams and their management to deliver complex lending solutions where hedge funds are considered to be the primary collateral or repayment source. Position will be responsible for internal & external marketing of the hedge fund product, hedge fund analysis, new loan generation, loan renewals and portfolio servicing.

The Custom Credit Hedge Fund Executive is a product advocate for credit for both UST & ML nationally. Originates sound new business through PCA & FA teams. Provides credit direction, expertise and approval for strategically important clients. Understands market differences within regions and coordinates best practices in terms of delivering thoughtful credit solutions. Works closely with clients and advisors to define and deliver the best alternatives. Critical link to centralized underwriting and risk/approval process. Accountable for asset quality of the HF portfolio

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Five + years of experience in a Private Bank setting focused on hedge funds as facility collateral or 5+ years' experience in a Capital Mkts/Institutional Sales role dealing directly with Hedge Funds. Familiarity with Private Bank credit skills and related market influences (profiling, structuring, underwriting, delivery)

  • 10 plus years of commercial credit or wealth management credit experience or a combination of lending and credit experience

  • Prior experience required with a financial institution focusing on product marketing (both internally & externally), preferably in the high net worth space

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to influence others while building strong partnerships

  • Commercial Credit training strongly preferred

  • Series 7 and 63 required for this role
