The AI COE Initiative has evolved from the Data and Analytics team at EY as a cross-service team aimed at transforming EY AI-enabled offerings helping clients navigate the changing landscape. The vision is clear – the AI COE seeks to become the ‘Deepmind’ for Financial Services, embedding knowledge and expertise into AI algorithms which will disrupt the market.

By investing in cutting edge research in collaboration with academia and tech partnerships to develop an innovation pipeline. AI COE will develop AI-enabled solutions with clients that will transform the current service offerings. The AI labs will enhance our AI-enabled offerings by centralising our talent and investments rather than replace our existing AI capability.

What to expect

As part of the AI COE, you’ll be working with a newly created team in truly uncharted territory. You will apply your knowledge and leadership experience to deliver projects that will truly disrupt the industry.

  • Software engineer leading, architecting and developing across the application layers specialising in data and server side.

  • Design, develop and execute COE solutions for EY clients and internal stakeholders

  • Define, document and communicate architectural choices and code decisions

  • Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of engineering solutions

  • Proactively evolve and apply COE methodologies, standards and leading practices

Required Skills:

  • Big Data Pipeline/ Architecture (Expert)

  • Programming (Expert)

  • AI technologies (Expert)

  • Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies

  • Highly adept at using Agile and Lean methods (user stories, BDD / TDD)

  • Highly adaptive to changing work environment, navigates self and team through challenges faced

  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written) Desired Skills

  • A university degree with a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent), ideally an MSc

  • Proven ability to influence, develop, and empower colleagues to achieve objectives with a team approach

  • Strong development experience in relevant programming languages and technologies

  • Be a “builder” who can thrive in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment, and can plan and manage at both the strategic and tactical levels.

  • Have an appetite for experimenting with new technologies and tools to drive innovation and creativity

  • Experience in similar role within an organisation comparable to EY (e.g. Big 4, global consultancy
