This hardware engineering lead position in the Mechanical Design organization will be responsible for the successful execution of Ground Based Radar Programs which may include multiple integrated product development teams. The primary focus will be on disciplined project execution for hardware development and production support. Additional responsibilities include:
Working closely with technical leads and first line managers (FLM) to ensure technical, schedule and cost accountability is achieved with all team members.
Coordinating with FLMs to identify and ensure staffing needs are met.
Providing timely and accurate projections of EV metrics.
Supporting technical reviews and the change management of engineering technical review artifacts and documentation.
Driving project execution efficiencies across programs and into development processes to improve overall design productivity.
A strong technical background in one or more areas including hardware development, system integration, production support or test is required. A detailed understanding of earned value management and familiarity with MS Project is a must.
Must possess strong presentation and communication skills. Teamwork skills shall include the ability to work across the Sensor Products and Manufacturing Operations organizations to resolve program cost, schedule and technical objectives.
A strong understanding of project planning including risk and opportunity management is desirable.
An ability to operate as a hardware lead and engineering point of contact for the PMO, Senior Leadership and Customer.
Strong technical leadership and demonstrated ability to successfully lead a new product development and/or production effort.
