Lockheed Martin Tooling Technician in Littleton, Colorado

Working from engineering drawings, written work instructions and process specifications, employee will assemble/repair/modify production tooling components in a shop environment. Tasks will include but are not limited to: -Perform Ground Processing Equipment Controller (GPEC) duties for the area, which means to maintain property records and service Ground Processing Equipment (GPE) for preventative maintenance. -Perform Property Custodian duties for the area, which means to create new or maintain current property records and facilitate calibration/repair/inventory services of all production assets in the area. -Operation of rigging equipment such as overhead cranes and lifting devices. -Installation and torqueing of fasteners, drilling, installation of rivets, adhesive bonding, measurement and shimming interfaces to close tolerances. -Tooling fabrication from various materials such as aluminum, composites, and wood. -Working with small shop power tools (saws, routers, sanders, and grinders). -Machine shop equipment operation (mill, lathe, table saw, band saw, etc.) -Operation of measuring devices such as calipers, height gages, micrometers, and torque wrenches.

Basic Qualifications Proficiency using computers and basic software applications (Microsoft Office, SAP). Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the proper usage of mechanics hand tools and power tools. Basic understanding of tooling/rigging fabrication and past experience working in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment. Independently performs routine, non-routine, and moderately complex assignments.

Desired skills Experience in aerospace/manufacturing assembly. Process equipment (oven, crane) programming/operation. Tooling/rigging process development and fabrication experience. Operate NC mills and routers and manually operate lathes, grinders, saws, and other various shop tools.
