This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

• Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate project requirements.

• Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.

• Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.

• Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.

• Will be responsible for project management of commercial construction and renovation projects, and reading engineering drawings and specifications.

• Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.

• Will be responsible for managing contractor performance of designers and contractors/subcontractors on daily basis.

• Work with RS Means estimating software on daily basis.

• Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor of science degree, from an accredited college, in engineering, construction management or similar discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction and renovation project management.

• Diversity of project experience including small and large projects.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience RS Means estimating software

• Experience in managing contractor performance of designers and contractors/subcontractors.

• Proficient in MS Office software programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Track record of successful project scope, schedule and budget control.

• Proven construction skills which includes managing and negotiating with general contractors and/or subcontractors.

• Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to include: project schedule, scope, cost, risk and deliverables.

• Possess excellent English communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while executing to meet mission success.

• Knowledge of project cost analysis.

• Strong ability to resolve tactical obstacles and make strategic decisions while delivering results.

Desired Skills:

To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• Demonstrated performance in a team environment showing a respect for others.

• Knowledge of all applicable codes and regulations, including OSHA, ADA, state and municipal codes and regulations.

• Execute projects to meet or exceed customer need dates.

• Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP) and FAR

• Strong social acumen - team player able to effectively communicate with cross functional organizations and build working relationships

• Strong ability to multi-task while delivering results

• Experience with creating & executing in a team environment

• Experience implementing change to improve processes

• Knowledge of Procurement, Subcontract Management, Proposal Process, Risk Mitigation & Project Management as it relates to Supply Chain

• Ability to travel
