EY’s Tax Technology and Transformation team is a 1,000 person strong global team that offers services to companies in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face, driving efficiencies to create a cost-effective tax function and the need to understand how to make data an asset. The underlying objective of the combined offerings is to help businesses navigate the digital age of tax transparency alongside new trends in tax compliance and tax audit methods, as well as helping to solve the most pressing challenges that businesses face. Tax Technology and Transformation is composed of the following services:
Tax dataand improvement
Taxanalytics and reporting enhancement
Roboticprocess automation (RPA) and data analytics
Emergingtax technology, including, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloudsolutions, data lake development and business intelligence innovation
Customtax technology application development and deployment
Taxtechnology strategy and road mapping
Directand indirect tax systems implementation and configuration
Post-transaction(M&A) tax function operational services
Taxoperating model transformation, including current state assessments, processimprovement, risk and controls

You will also have the opportunity to lead a rapidly growing team that makes up our newly deployed ‘nearshore’ hub, which provides support to our South-East Asia and Oceania practices. This will provide you with an opportunity to further strengthen your leadership skills and lead a team that is a critical component of the Tax Technology and Transformation growth strategy.
Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be supporting various client projects, from assisting in the production of leading practice MS SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Power BI solutions, to implementing third-party tax applications, to supporting and automating internal and external operations of multinational tax departments.
Skillsand attributes for success
Abilityand experience in leading a team and working across borders
Takingownership of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion, includingdocumenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, projectprofitability, and tax systems and process configuration
Identifyingways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems andemerging technologies
Consolidatingtax data to make analysis and planning more efficient
Improvingreporting capabilities to enhance our clients’ ability to evaluate risk andcapitalize on opportunities
Supportingproject team members in any way needed to help ensure timely completion ofdeliverables
Abilityto think holistically about a change or transformation opportunity
Ideally,you will also have at least one of the following
Experienceimplementing third-party direct or indirect tax systems (such as ONESOURCE, CCHCorpTax, Vertex, Avalara, Longview, etc.)
MicrosoftOffice VBA development
MicrosoftPower BI suite, including Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power Map
Knowledgeand experience in the design and development of databases (specifically SQLServer)
Experiencewith developing ETL solutions using SSIS or other tools
ERPexperience, including SAP and/or Oracle
Experiencemanaging large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax (e.g., ERPimplementations, tax co-sourcing engagements, finance transformations)
Toqualify for the role, you must have
Abachelor’s degree in Information Systems and/or a master’s degree in Accounting,Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or relatedfield and a minimum of eight years of related work experience
A stronginterest in technology and its use in business processes
Excellentcommunication and business writing skills
A naturalflair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
Strongorganizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-servingconsulting skills
Demonstratedability to capture and synthesize business requirements
Abilityto lead a team, mentor counselees and manage client-serving business
