Lockheed Martin Subcontract Management in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Description: Primary responsibility is to support the full implementation of the RMS Affordability culture change execution across RMS business area. You will work with negotiation team to bring greater results in retain saving and customer saving opportunities going forward.

Secondary Focus on driving affordability within production & aftermarket programs for Replacement parts, Spares, repairs & overhauls. As well as supporting indirect procurement saving opportunities across LM to bring value to RMS.

Act as main interface across functional buyers to drive AAT projects and sourcing activities as they related to completion of stated AAT objectives including:

- Gathering supplier Data / Interpreting data analytics

- Establishing Market Based pricing

- Negotiation Planning

- Creation and execution of negotiation Leverage plans

- Initiation of Steering Committee requests

Lead Cross function collaboration within the LOB, as well as across the LM LOB’s for projects in work as well as to create leverage and smart buying opportunities

Coordination with Value Engineering team to assure execution and realization of savings as well as expansion of competition, in-Sourcing, and reduction of sole-Sourcing across the procurement enterprise

Lead/support the coordination of Program IPT members to execute progress on projects to achieve planned objectives

Support the creation, management and fulfilment of all savings artifacts to achieve final savings realization into the RMS business case tool (as required) as well as AST saving tools for credit and validation by corporate finance.

Responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance on low-to-moderate-risk, modified Commercial Off The Shelf, performance specification and complex build-to-print subcontracts for commercial, DOD and international programs.

Leads multifunctional project teams to achieve desired project results. Reviews and may Prepare bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions including price, selects or recommends subcontractors, oversees the writing of subcontract packages and preparation of awards and administration of resulting subcontracts and required change activity.

Will be assigned other duties in line with business priorities to support business priorities to support affordability and / or supply chain Value Engineering strategy initiatives.

Some Travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 to 3 years of professional experience; or 1 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Former OLDP/ELDP graduate

The desired candidate will have experience with supplier Value Engineering projects as well as an understanding of the Value Acceleration tools and techniques that drive affordability projects.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to lead complex projects utilizing the full Supplier management team to accomplish affordability savings from project creation to savings validation and closure.

Previous leadership assignments/skills.

Proven ability to effect change and lead a diverse cultural evolution in achieving affordability objectives.

Excellent communication skills.

Proven Project Management experience.

Past experience in managing project execution across a diverse organization/function team.

Experience from other functional roles beyond Supply Chain, for example: Quality, Manufacturing, IT, etc.
