This critically important role is responsible for leadership of an Omnicare Pharmacy. This role will report to a General Manager of Omnicare of Kansas City and will develop and implement strategies to improve operational excellence and superior customer service within the assigned pharmacy.

The Pharmacist in Charge position is responsible for ensuring operational compliance and excellence through the delivery of the right drug, to the right place, at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the practice of pharmacy at the pharmacy for which he/she is the PIC. The PIC must be physically present in the pharmacy a sufficient amount of time to provide supervision and control.

• Notifies the pharmacy permit holder of potential violations of any statute, rule or court order existing within the pharmacy.

• Monitor industry, regulatory and compliance industry, regulatory and compliance developments (e.g., state Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, etc.) for pending regulatory changes and partner with Division Compliance Officer and pharmacy management to address them.

• Communicates and educates staff on pharmacy-related issues including, but not limited to, regulatory changes/compliance, FDA drug recalls, drug information, sample medications, and investigational studies.

Required Qualifications

Must be licensed in Kansas and also licensed in Missouri

Preferred Qualifications

PIC licensed in KS

Education

PharmD or RPh
