JPMorgan Chase Vice President, Software Engineering in Jersey City, New Jersey
Duties: Work as a Technical Architect for Finance Reporting BigData Platform in JPMorgan's Finance Technology Organization. Responsible for solving complex business problem using scalable and extensible software. Responsible for designing and implementing the model driven transformation, calculation and aggregation engine. This includes designing technology data models aligned to business domain models, developing parsers for parsing data manipulation, calculation and aggregation instructions in domain specific language and architecting the software. Work on data warehousing, data modelling and enterprise software development. Communicate with senior technology and business management, explaining complex technical solutions and anticipate future needs. Design and build easy to maintain software. Utilize programs such as advanced Java, J2EE, Spring and Hibernate. Design and provide general architecture around BigData software development leveraging Hadoop, cluster compute technologies like spark, functional programming techniques expressed in Scala and Akka based concurrency and low latency technologies.
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum experience required: 6 years of experience in Software Development and Architecture, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have Java and J2EE experience. Must have Hadoop development experience using Scala and Spark. Must have experience with Hibernate and JPA. Must have experience with Spring Framework. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Data Modelling and Data Warehousing. Must have Software Architecture experience. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Functional Programming concepts. Must have experience with language and compiler design. Must have experience with functional parser combinators. Must have experience with concurrency and low latency programming. Must have experience with SQL. Must have experience with web and J2EE compliant application servers like Apache Tomcat.
