The CIB Technology Centralized Vendor Management Team (VMO) is responsible for scoping and driving the vendor management strategy and executing vendor related processes across CIB Technology:

  • Ensuring that CIB Tech achieves the most optimal commercial and quality delivery from our vendors (Labor and Software/Hardware)

  • Managing and executing vendor related processes, including contracting, approvals, on-boarding, invoicing, and related reporting

  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including Tech teams, F&BMs, Sourcing, SOS (Supplier Oversite Services), Global Technology, and Vendor Management teams within other LOBs (CCB, WM, etc.)

  • Enabling continuous process improvement across vendor management space by maturing existing engagements, managing transitions for any new engagements, and consolidating contracts and processes

  • Maintaining a strong control posture relative to vendor exposure and risk (both contractual and operational)

We are currently looking to recruit an Associate level resource for a VMO role to support our strategy and processes as per above.

  • Support day to day Stakeholder & Vendor relationships and Vendor Governance / Controls (example: liaison with Tech and Business stakeholders to understand pipeline & vendor requirements, resource planning and financial impact, and provide ad-hoc analysis / reporting as requested)

  • Support contract reviews and renewals, partnering with Sourcing to ensure that all documentation is up to date and progressing through process and approvals within Ariba and/or Beeline systems

  • Support data integrity (i.e. resolve discrepancies) within our Central Management Data Base (CMDB) and work on analytics & reporting based on this data

  • Support and help maintain Third Party Oversight (TPO) engagements in COMPASS, engaging appropriate stakeholders as needed on vendor risk & controls

  • Support vendor resource on-boarding process, including all issues/escalations resolution

  • Execute Purchase Orders (POs) / Invoice Processing, including PO initiation and Invoice data validation, accruals data provision & estimates, and invoice tracking

  • Some experience supporting Tech or Ops organization within Financial Services industry, working with 3 rd party vendors

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, and some experience with Ariba and/or Beeline systems

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and strong client management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, with ability to complete reporting & analytics accurately, timely, and in a presentable manner

  • Self-motivated, going beyond immediate responsibilities, with ability to work independently as well as be a team player

  • Experience working in global teams across multiple regions, enabling a ‘one team’ culture and a positive working environment, while respecting cultures and capabilities across all locations
