Prepare/assist US GAAP and Statutory current and deferred tax provisions including preparation of supporting workpapers for both Life and Non-Life companies. Prepare federal and state tax returns and related workpapers. Assist with consolidation of the federal tax return including required workpapers. Assist with quarterly estimated tax payment calculations. Assist /perform in the tax return information gathering process including interaction with finance department and business unit personnel. Assist in the preparation of provision to tax return computations. Review/compile information necessary to respond to IRS IDRs. Perform basic tax research and analysis. Assist with special projects.


  • Review/prepare federal and state tax returns and related workpapers

  • Assist as required with the consolidation of the federal tax return

  • Prepare/assist with quarterly and year end US GAAP and Statutory current and deferred tax accounting

  • Assist with IRS and state tax examinations

  • Perform basic tax research and analysis projects

  • Assist with special projects


  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance

  • Experience with Tax accounting/Tax compliance for corporations. Insurance tax experience a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Significant Experience with Excel. Knowledge of Corptax system is a plus.

  • Should be able to work collaborately with co-workers and have an attitude of continuous learning and development; Ability to work as part of a team essential.

  • Will be working as part of various cross function teams and the ability to understand others functional requirements with openess to finding solutions is essential; Ability to work closely with consultants and auditors helpful.

  • Strong communication and colloboratin skills
