Summary

As an experienced professional in our Cybersecurity organization, you’re equally committed to watching over our data today, as well as finding innovative new ways to protect it in the future. To do that, you’ll help lead a highly motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You’ll use your leadership skills to give guidance, best practice advice and support across all our business and technology groups. You’ll take the lead on incident response, risk reviews and vulnerability assessments, identifying threats, all of which ladder up to driving and selecting cost-effective solutions. You’ll deploy best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap. You’ll keep management, executive directors, managing directors and stakeholders in the loop, as well as managing people and budgets. The Role:

Continual enhancement of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and systems through a robust information security agenda is a key strategic objective of JP Morgan Chase and of the Cyber Technology and Controls Division. An array of information security initiatives are planned over the next 2 years, ranging from enhancements to our internal and industry aligned risk controls frameworks, Agile and SDLC transformation and security controls automation. Strong understanding of the technology development and engineering lifecycle and information security project management capabilities are required to support these objectives.

  • Information Security Risk & Governance Analyst will address mitigation of risks for technology by identifying solutions that simplify, optimize and transformation how the Firm operates. This Role will serve as a conduit and driver for integrating new processes and practices within and across Cyber Technology and Controls.

  • The role will cover a broad spectrum of information security risk management responsibilities focusing on internal audits and oversight of control assurance activities required to meet control acceptance and business objectives.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of information risk governance, risk reporting and has experience in defining and executing project planning and execution within financial services and/or consulting.

  • Through your knowledge of information security you will support the definition/improvement of technical processes to align security controls to SDLC and support governance functions to ensure teams adhere to required business, regulatory and cybersecurity controls.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage risk reporting to internal and external stakeholders for Cyber Tech Governance Lead

  • Provide SME knowledge of cybersecurity policies, guidance and procedures to the rest of the Cyber Technology Team

  • Support and Manage Action Plans to closure; including working with Risk owners to develop sustainable action plans that address technology risk areas across the SDLC

  • Manage relationships and information sharing with members of the global cybersecurity governance team as well as other Lines of Business

  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups

  • Provide technical assistance in evaluating, developing and executing Risk-related Action Plans that meet business requirements and are sustainable

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or equivalent experience (in computer science, information systems management, business administration or related field) is desirable.

  • Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies

  • Very strong data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative (strong VBA, SQL and Excel skills)

  • Information security certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CEH/CPT or related certifications) would be desirable

  • Keen understanding of national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry cybersecurity

  • Noted cybersecurity expert, keeping technical skills current and participating in multiple forums

  • Expertise in Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks

  • Ability to identify network attacks and systemic security issues as they relate to threats and vulnerabilities, with focus on recommendations for enhancements or remediation
