Chase Merchant Services Pricing team sits within Finance and reports to the CMS CFO and Head of P&A for all of the Consumer and Community Bank. There are three pillars of work that the team is engaged in:
Pricing Strategy and Analysis - Perform strategicpricing analyses, deliver insights and recommendations to improve businessperformance. Build next-gen pricing tools and frameworks to generateefficiencies
Pricing Transformation - Reengineer pricingcapabilities/tools and the overall operating model and reshape the waypricing activities are performed
Pricing Execution - Maintain pricing capabilities/toolsfor the business (allowing for self-service); price custom/bespoke dealsfor large merchants
We are looking for an Executive Director to lead these efforts and over time provide leadership to various strategic and analytical initiatives. The individual will manage a team of 10-15 high performers and provide coaching and mentoring to junior talent across the Pricing team. Examples of the scope of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for understanding the paymentsindustry competitive landscape and develop pricing winning strategies to growChase market share and profitability
Lead a team of analysts in the development andrefinement of pricing and profitability models, for new and existing productsand services. This work will at timesinclude the development of business cases for new product and market-relatedinvestments.
Monitor and report the performance of pricingprograms, and use that data to improve current and future product offerings
Develop deep understanding and segmentation ofcost drivers for the business, and apply that understanding to improve pricingmodels.
Develop pipeline of pricing tests. Trackresults and develop analytics with recommendations/actions.
Manage business case process to ensuredisciplined financials and key metrics are included to drive the decisionmaking process and to implement consistency across the organization (includesIT book of work, potential business development and other investments).
Develop collaborative & influentialrelationships with across teams, including Product, Sales, Operations, Credit,and Marketing teams to improve communication, analytics and refine reportingand actionable recommendations.
Complete ad-hoc reporting & analysis,develop recommendations, and communicate to appropriate business owners,including Senior Management levels, to facilitate change.
Take initiative and demonstrate innovation inthe identification and development of new metrics, report design, creation,implementation, reporting processes, and areas of analytic focus.

MBA or Master’s Degree from a top-tier program preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required
10+ years of financial analysis experience; preferred if past experience from a management consulting firm, internal consulting or corporate strategy group, or prior related pricing experience
5+ years prior experience in managing a team
Strong client management, especially experience managing large-scale change programs, and executive-level communication skills
Advanced user of Excel and Access; SAS experience preferred
Proven record in analytics, problem solving and execution in a cross-functional role
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage concurrent assignments and quickly react to changing or competing priorities.
