YOUR IMPACT
Reporting to the Head of Event Management APAC, the Business Coverage Manager acts as a relationship owner and will partner with the business to develop and lead their event marketing strategy. The Business Coverage Manager will oversee all events and conferences with a keen focus on best practices, commercial excellence and consistency in delivery.

The Event Management team acts as an owner for divisional event activities andalso the first line of defense (1LoB) to ensure that all events planned and executed are of the highest standard in terms of client experience, commerciality and creativity while exercising a high level of governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
The role includes, but is not limited to:
Partners with lead business partners setting annual forecast, and be responsible for event commercial management, service excellence, best practices and innovation opportunities
Partners with vendor teams and is accountable for the oversight, management and execution of divisional events
Understand core goals and objectives of the businesses supported
Identify appropriate key stakeholders/groups/individuals in division to partner with
Financial Controls & Reporting – responsible for building an accurate and thorough annual budget and adherence to that budget. Responsible for weekly approvals with global teams, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Team leadership – provide oversight and team leadership for project managers who are staffed on an event or conference for respective business. Be a go-to person for all team members with specific focus on best practices and consistency in delivery
Vendor procurement and management – includes contract negotiation on all specialty initiatives
Protects the firm’s and business’ reputation
Adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
Brand and messaging strategy – maintain an overall brand strategy using firm resources
Content and presentation guidance – work with client team to provide guidance on agenda building, material design and speaker and presentation idea generation
Understand and lead protocol objectives for each event during both the planning and execution stages
On-site execution – accountable for overall success of the event
Exercise flexibility and be able to act as a resource to other BCM’s and team members
Proactive – follows-up with clients for feedback post events and provides team timely updates (on processes/procedures and best practices)
Basic Qualifications
5 minimum years of experience in event management in a fast-paced corporate organization, experience in managing large-scale conference a definite advantage
Personal integrity, initiative, leadership qualities and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
Serves as an effective role model/strong leadership skills
Ability to develop credibility with clients
Strong communication skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standards
Exceptional time management skills and ability to adapt style as the situation requires
A strong sense of commerciality with sound negotiation skills
Knowledge in all aspects related to conferences and event management, including but not limited to budgeting, audio visual, stage production, registration & speaker management
Good knowledge of Asia ex-Japan event venues highly beneficial
