Verizon Associate Director - Financial Planning & Analysis in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

What you’ll be doing...

  • Head of Finance for APAC region - supporting 14 countries.

  • Directly reporting to Executive Director, FP&A Global Enterprise, US and dotted line reporting the Director, FP&A EMEA, UK

  • Being the strategic partner with Business Leaders to drive growth and ensuring financial discipline across the APAC region

  • Responsible for the overall financial health of the APAC region

  • Lead, coach and develop the finance teams to become the next generation finance leaders

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Member of the Asia Pac Leadership Team to provide financial, governance, internal controls and compliance advice to drive growth and track performance in the region.

  • Statutory Directors / Chairperson / Legal representative for all APAC legal entities to ensure local compliance of laws and regulations and ensure financial statements are audited and filed.

  • "Functional" reporting responsibility, to Director, FP&A of EMEA in support of overall Verizon Business Group International Finance and in support of VP, International Sales.

  • Annual planning and budgeting for the region: Revenue, Expense, P/L. Target setting for Sales MDs and quota setting for all Sales teams. Manage quarterly quota adjustments process and commission adjustments.

  • Monthly forecasting of revenue and expenses.

  • Monthly reporting and analysis of financial results and metrics tracking.

  • Monthly analysis of key customer profitability and support cross functional key customer governance meetings.

  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve the overall financial performance and efficiency across the region.

  • Recruit, promote and develop finance talents.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in finance roles with increasing level & scope of responsibility.

  • Knowledge of finance policies, processes and systems with a track record of finance process improvement.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Finance certification (CPA, CA, etc).

  • Interpersonal, communication & team leadership skills.

  • Experience in building strong internal and external business relationships.

  • Ability to communicate vision, strategies, issues and action plans.

  • People leader, ability to manage and inspire finance teams across countries.

  • Strong leader in initiating / leading change and developing teams to achieve targets.
