Reference Desk, Lead

Key Role:

Work closely with clients to identify a user's business requirements. Interpret business needs and translate them into system requirements. Write business specifications and forwards to technical staff for system development. Act as the conduit between a user group and an IT development team. Serve as a subject matter expert with capability knowledge in client delivery, and has developed expertise in specific area. Maintain relationships with clients, and offer valuable and knowledgeable advice.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with the systems development life cycle, including requirements development, change management, and testing

-Experience in managing reference desk tasks for clients to serve as a liaison between issues reported by the client and the development team responsible for making systems changes

-Knowledge of EPA systems and the document and records management life cycle for EPA

-Knowledge of EPA Superfund programmatic data and reporting requirements

-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree in IT

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the EPA Superfund program internal and public-facing Websites

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Public Trust clearance is required.
