Cybersecurity Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Serve as a Cybersecurity subject matter expert and analyst for clients in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Develop and provide input on existing documentation in compliance with GSA security policy and agency guidance, including GSA IT security procedural guide 06-30, managing enterprise risk and NIST special publications. Assess program security compliance, support program briefs, and coordinate and compile the application security-related documentation for various applications. Provide critical written and oral analyses of security architecture documentation and vulnerability and risk assessments. Develop Security authorization packages, and provide independent security assessment for GSA information systems, as required by federal and GSA governance. Create, update, and maintain responsibility of A&A documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with resolving security findings and Cyber threats

-Knowledge of information assurance and security practices

-Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with clients to gather, comprehend, and clearly articulate security requirements, including success criteria, and metrics for measuring business value

-Knowledge of federal security policy, including FISMA, NIST 800-53, or risk management framework

-Ability to work independently and take ownership of complete relatively complex tasks, effectively using available resources with minimal guidance, as needed

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent data gathering and analysis skills to facilitate risk mitigation and issue resolution and support IT operations streamlining and consolidation initiatives

-BA or BS degree
