Lockheed Martin Associate Contracts Negotiator in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: This position supports the production of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Vehicle Program in the Tactical Missiles – Precision Fires Business Area. Tasks include proposal preparation support, negotiations, contract administration, contract guidance and contract closeout: Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; Assists with preparation of proposals, preparation of proposal briefing packages, fact finding and negotiation; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language/clauses; Investigates and reconciles contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc. and advises management of contractual rights and responsibilities. Candidate must be a self-starter who is detail and teamwork oriented.

Desired Skills: Acquisition and/or procurement experience

Experience with basic Financial principles such as Return on Sales, Earnings Before Interest/Taxes and Cost of Sales.

FAR/DFAR experience

Experience with FFP, FPIF or CPFF contract types

Knowledge of EVMS

Experience with SAP

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Microsoft office / excel experience
