Title: Territory Aftermarket Sales Manager - 49411
This position may be located in Central California per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
As a Territory Aftermarket Sales Manager for John Deere located in Fresno, California, you will be responsible for a territory size that currently generates approximately $2.5M in All Makes Sales and $90M in John Deere Dealer Sales. In addition, you will:
Visit dealerships/resellers, wholesalers and service providers across many different channels of distribution i.e. Independent Repair Shops, Ag & Turf Dealerships (Deere, Case, Kubota, Exmark, Scag, Honda, etc), Catalog/Internet Resellers, Farm Stores, Home Improvement, Forestry Dealers, Industrial, Salvage, Automotive Stores
Support JD Corporate and Dealer meetings. Provide sales support for all JD parts, service and attachment sales.
Average 6 - 8 face to face visits per day. Solicit orders as well as inform all customers of new products and promotions. Conduct systems training relating to online ordering, cross reference and other useful information. Provide purchase history for accounts to assist in order history & trends.
Record all contact information & any substantial issues/activities via Wintouch (CRM) Provides quotes to customers based upon published pricing & programs. (Does not have authority to deviate from published prices, discounts or programs.)
Follow up with customer issues relating to returns, warranty, availability and shipping information.
Conduct cold calls in search of establishing additional distribution (new customers) where needed. Provide Market and Competitive Intelligence.
May be called on to support Trade Shows outside their assigned territory. Also may be called to provide basic training for new hires; to support corporate account headquarters outside their assigned territory.
Adhere to all company policies & procedures. Provide monthly territory reports (highlights, lowlights, competitive information, sales trends etc.).

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of field sales or product support experience preferably in agricultural and/or turf industry
3 or more years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other computer programs
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in basic file management (saving and sending attachments)
Successful track record of customer management
Effective listening and problem resolution skills
Residence in territory - Relocation is available
Valid operator's license for the state in which you currently reside
Ability and willingness to travel domestically 30% to 60%
