Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Sr in Fort Worth, Texas
Manufacturing Engineer providing direct support to F-35 Final Assembly operations. This position will execute the F35 Final Assembly Team commitments regarding Manufacturing Plans and Build Sequence, Engineering Change Implementation, Production Tool Design and Support, Cost Reduction implementation, Root Cause/Corrective Action investigation and implementation, and Nonconformance Repairs. This person will coordinate as needed with other organizations such as Planning, Fab, MRB, Tooling, NDI as needed to drive solutions to issues impacting Final Assembly. Works to establish Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for identified issues. Supports Integrated Corrective Action (ICA) / Corrective Action Response Team (CART) / Corrective Action Board (CAB) / Senior CAB Tasking's. Supports creating and boarding projects through Manufacturing Control Change Board (MCCB) for Rapid Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) or for Affordability Implementation. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently under only general direction, providing imaginative, thorough, and practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Some weekends and overtime (approximately 10-15%) required as a general standard in this position. Must be able to occasionally rotate shifts and work alternate shifts as required.
Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an Engineering, Manufacturing or other Technical field Experience with complex assembly and manufacturing processes Experience reading engineering blueprints, requirements and designs Strong oral and written communication skills for interfacing with technical support teams, build teams, and internal and external customers Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills in a team environment Proficiency with MS Office suite
Desired skills Prior experience with Aircraft Assembly or Aircraft System Installation desirable In-depth Root Cause/Corrective Action methodology or Integrated Corrective Action experience Experience with Solid Modelling systems Experience with Structured Light or other metrology techniques
