Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer - Entry Level in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: This position will be assigned to support the F35 Final Assembly team as a Manufacturing Engineer. Team Final executes all the tasks that move the F-35 from Mate of major components, through engine installation and systems connections, final installation of doors and covers, and all the system checkouts involved in readying the world’s premier 5th Generation fighter for operation. Final Assembly is an extremely dynamic environment, with every aircraft presenting unique opportunities to succeed. The end product is a completed aircraft at factory Roll Out, ready for handoff to the Delivery Operations team.

The Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for:

- Supporting Production Operations in planned build tasks and non-conformance repair

- Maintaining Manufacturing Plans, Aircraft Build Sequence, and Production Tooling Requirements

- Coordinating and implementing changes to the Final Assembly production build

- Performing Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action on repetitive nonconformances

- Finding, planning, and executing Producibility and Cost Reduction initiatives

We work in support of Production mechanics and supervisors looking for places we can improve the build, eliminate repetitive defects and drive out unnecessary cost. You will work with a great team of engineers, with ample hands-on opportunities, project management and engineering coordination tasks, and a direct impact on program success.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills: Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or mechanical engineering or other related technical field.
