Project Officer

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of the acquisition process, policy, and procedure. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with DoD acquisition

  • Experience with taking operational requirements from concept exploration to project completion, including keeping a project within budget, on schedule, performance, and sustainment plan

  • Experience with identifying, testing, and coordinating assessments, including equipping and training, sustaining, and final disposition of materiel solutions

  • Secret clearance

  • BA or BS degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, or marketing

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working at the Army brigade or higher levels with officers and non-commissioned officers

  • MA or MS degree

  • DAWIA Level II Certification, including Program Management or Project Management Professional (PMP)
