Central Underwriting Control, Governance and Risk Management of the AI operation to maximize revenue, membership and earnings and achieve profitable growth whilst maintain risk controls. Position Summary/Mission: Create an Underwriting strategy to combine the Documentation, Analytics and Audit objectives into a structured, informed and leading business unit to improve speed to market, business understanding, risk management, controls and processes. Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements: To manage and oversee the Underwriting Controls and Processes team. Develop projects and strategies to implement changes required in Underwriting processes, procedures and reporting.Implementing Underwriting Governance and Controls to support the AI Operating Model and communicate the International Underwriting processes, controls, procedures, documentation.Work closely with other Central Underwriting business teams to create and deliver strategies to support Underwriting requirements – Rating tools and IVL strategy Documentation, Processes & ProceduresManage and implement the development of - Underwriting Manuals, Guidelines and UW Authorities. Create an Auditing structure, Regulatory risk tolerance structure and reporting to PRC s. Document UW processes and communication. Work with other Central UW functions on rate model development, UW reporting requirements, Plan actions and input.UW AnalysisCreation of Underwriting analytical tools to support process and procedure development. Provide customer insight tools for use by regional Underwriters to support authorities and informed decision making. Implement tracking and analysis to support planning, forecasting and reporting.AuditDevelop Audit process to review Underwriting actions against Authorities, provide gap analysis on processes and procedures to develop future enhancements and improvements Key SkillsCan demonstrate ownership and delivery of complex projectsStrong Analytical skills using Excel/AccessInsurance Underwriting background, knowledge of Insurance practices and proceduresWell organized and used to managing teams and delivering projects. Background/Experience Desired: 5 years Underwriting preferably in international health insurance.Proven track record of coordinating common practices, processes and templates across an internal structure.Project management skills ideal.Experience of presentations and leading project teamsExcellent presentation skillsFluent in written & spoken English Educational Requirements:Degree or equivalent experienceAdditional Information (not mandatory to complete):Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively with management.Ability to work collaboratively within work teams.Strong organization skills.
