Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Apply in-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity to working as part of a team with Booz Allen colleagues, industry partners, and a DoD client supporting sustainment and modernization projects for an Air Force office. Support assessment and authorization (A&A) efforts under the DoD risk management framework (RMF), including authorization to operate (ATO) package generation, artifact evaluation, and control validation. Maintain responsibility for requirements generation for all new acquisitions and major system modifications, define the security aspects of system architectures, determine security test and evaluation (ST&E) requirements and methodologies, and conduct analytical risk management activities regarding the development, operation, and maintenance of DoD information systems. Apply expertise in technology, analyze the security implications of systems and applications security, and provide recommendations to decision makers and engineers. Provide Cybersecurity and consulting throughout the security assessment and compliance life cycle process. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with RMF

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards and the implementation of industry best practices

-Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD SCAP or commercial equivalent tool sets, including Nessus, Retina, and Nipper Studio

-Experience with evaluating security vulnerabilities and formulating mitigation strategies for networked and non-networked systems

-Experience with the evaluation of information security principles, DoD STIGs, and A&A processes for systems

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-DoDD 8570.01-M Certification at IAT Level III, IAM Level II, IASAE Level I, or CNDSP, including CAP, CISA, CISSP, or CEH
