Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Catering General Manager for our Corporate Services segment in East Hanover, New Jersey . This role will be responsible for managing all catered events at a high-volume, corporate campus account. Catering managed volume for this campus is approximately $3M, with the added responsibility of oversight of cash sales in excess of 300K. This corporatecampus covers two square miles, houses 5500 people and in inclusive of 20 buildings. This General Manager will have oversight of two salaried managers and 16 Sodexo, non-union frontline (hourly) employees.

Additional Information on the Catering Oversight:

This is an extremely hands-on position with high-profile catered events for an executive audience . This unit will cater multiple events at the same time in different locations on the campus, totaling approximately 60 deliveries per day . Providing high quality customer service is a primary focus for this General Manager. A considerable portion of the catered events will take place at off-premise locations in the New Jersey Area. All catering will be placed through Catertrax, a Sodexo proprietary computerized catering tracking system. Supervision also includes a grab 'n go café, meals for a Child Development Center and the campus office coffee program.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
