Job Description

Under the supervision of our Manufacturing Division Learning Ecosystem Associate Director, the Learning Sr. Specialist is the primary learning & development point of contact for the aligned area(s) within our Manufacturing Division L&D and our Manufacturing Division Learning Network. The position is responsible for planning and delivering learning-based performance consulting services to support learning objectives and solutions that enable the our Manufacturing Division L&D Network and ultimately clients across all lines of our Manufacturing Division business. Focus of this position is advancing MPS capabilities, specifically Task Breakdown Sheet (TBS) capability for division in alignment with Deployment Strategy and Plan, DACUM capability, and Curriculum Management capability as subject matter expert (SME) for the myLearning application to assign and maintain curriculum for the business to ensure alignment with Global Training Standards and SOPs. This role interacts with Learning Partners as well as our Manufacturing Division business stakeholders to ensure relevant, curriculum based on and ensuring each colleague in the business has the training they need to execute their job role. Success in this role depends on the candidate’s ability to collaborate with learning colleagues and work cross-functionally as a point of contact for the Learning Partner, Business Owners and Stewards, and the Learning Support Services (LSS) organization acting as a business partner and point of contact for the function’s learning and performance needs.

Assigned tasks include:

  • Learning process and systems Subject Management Expert (SME) including myLearning, eval/assessment and Quickbase.

  • Providing change support for Learning Administrators and our Manufacturing Division L&D when there are upgrades to the systems (i.e., myLearning).

  • Development and support for our Manufacturing Division L&D departmental communications.

  • Core team member for our Manufacturing Division Learning Network Community of Practice.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports by manipulating large and complex data sources and data sets to inform leadership reviews.

  • Project Coordination support for unplanned operational or divisional talent and management projects as well as complex myLearning reports for our Manufacturing Division L&D LT.

  • Remain current on learning and development tools, techniques, strategies and practices. Share learning and development leading practices with teams.

  • Effectively establish, deepen and sustain relationships to understand needs and related performance gaps, define requirements, and demonstrate an understanding of processes and methodology in order to execute appropriate learning solutions.

  • Collaborative with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies.

  • Identify performance needs and gaps and facilitate delivery of learning solutions to the business, particularly related to TBS deployment, DACUM and curriculum management solutions.

  • Monitor, analyze, interpret and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions related to TBS deployment, DACUM and curriculum management solutions, as appropriate.

  • Act as liaison between LSS and stakeholders to ensure alignment with learning needs. Collaborate across learning team as needed to ensure consistency of standards, continuous improvement and evolution.

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, with minimum 1 year of experience facilitating / delivering learning solutions

  • Learning standards, business process and systems (myLearning, eval/assessment, content management, etc.)

  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner

  • Oral and Written Communications: Ability to express oneself to provide information to others effectively and in a succinct manner

  • Customer-focused with the ability to interact with clients from our Manufacturing Division as well as Global Learning and Development colleagues

  • Detail orientated individual that can document and track very involved requests for training coordination and learning function management activities.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), working knowledge of collaboration/social technology (Team Space, Yammer, etc.) and the ability to create and develop division-wide communications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including flexibility and ability to work in a (matrix) team environment.

  • Good organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think critically and communicate effectively with a global audience
