POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking to fill two Strategic Sales Consultant roles. One will be based in CT or NY and the other will be based in Dallas, TX

Develops and executes effective sales strategies to meet profitable sales and cross-selling objectives.

Fundamental Components:

Act as strategic business partner to both internal and external constituents (peers, producers, prospects) to optimize the positioning of Aetna's products and services and to attain profitability and membership objectives. Assess the competitive environment and develop sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive a competitive advantage. Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal partners, (underwriting, sales support, medical mgmt, etc.) Initiate contact with prospects where there is no relationship with and establish meetings. Local Networking. Attend regional conferences. Coordinate with Local & Regional Business Segment (Middle Market), Public and Labor Business Segment and internal ancillary product SVPs to ensure consistency in messaging. Develop broker and consultant relationships. Cultivate productive relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers. Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned areas.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

5+ years experience with one or more of the following methodologies: management consulting, project consulting, business process consulting, financial strategic analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning, and/or risk management consulting.

Experience with moderate scale initiatives with moderate degree of complexity.

Operational experience in a relevant discipline.

Demonstrated superior business process, project management and organizational redesign experience.

Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex organizations.

Demonstrated leadership with relevant initiatives: Business process, enterprise business project management/consulting, financial strategic planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, risk management.

Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
