JPMorgan Chase SBA Solutions Officer Sr - Business Banking in Dallas, Texas

Position Summary/Purpose of Role

Specialty Finance Business Banking serves the needs of businesses with $.5 million to $20 million in revenue. The SBA Solutions Officer Sr (SBA Sr) provides critical SBA and Equipment Finance product expertise to SBA Solutions Consultants Srs (SBA SC) and Business Relationship Managers (BRM). The SBA SO Sr is responsible for consulting and partnering with SBA SCs and BRMs to assess the financing needs of existing clients and prospects in order to determine the appropriate solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities(in order of importance)

Act as a subject matter expert on SBA loans and equipment finance products to 4-5 SBA Solutions Consultant Srs and an average of 80-100 Business Relationship Managers

Identify client needs, develop client solutions, and partner with other product groups or lines of business as client needs dictate

Develop new client relationships through referrals from SBA SCs and BRMs

Act as primary point of client contact during the SBA eligibility phase of the process which can include obtaining critical documentation

Structure and price loans for clients adhering to bank policies and government regulations

Monitor loans in pipeline and complete post-approval requirements to facilitate timely closing and client satisfaction

Manage valuation process for all Business Banking equipment-secured loans

Serve as mentor for less experienced SBA Solutions Officers

Provide product expertise in BRM team and market meetings as needed

Travel to assigned territory at least twice per year to attend market meetings and participate in client calls

3-5 years of SBA, Equipment Finance or related background in relationship development

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Marketing or related business field or equivalent work experience

Robust understanding of SBA programs and/or equipment finance products along with industry standards and rules/regulations strongly preferred

Ability to identify opportunities and issues by asking targeted questions to assess current client needs and goals

Results-oriented, customer-focused with a bias for action and sense of urgency

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally

Proven negotiating and business credit skills
