REALTY MANAGEMENT

The Realty Management Division (RMD) plays an integral role in supporting the firm’s real estate investing strategy by providing investment and asset management services globally in the real estate market, partnering with other divisions in the firm to deliver results wherever Goldman Sachs has an interest. RMD serves as an extension to revenue divisions by providing services such as sourcing, acquisition, underwriting and due diligence of distressed and performing real estate and loan assets, asset management, portfolio management and disposition across various property types including office, multi-family, retail and hotel. Our division also manages residential loan portfolios and warehouse repo lines across auto, student, and consumer asset classes while providing structure, pricing and collateral analysis support. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Role Overview Goldman Sachs & Co, located in Dallas TX, is seeking an Associate to join the Data Management & Reporting (DMR) team. A successful candidate would be responsible for process and risk management, audit and compliance related activities, and support the evolution and ongoing development of the DMR team and its clients within RMD.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple groups within RMD to identify and improve process deficiencies.

  • Create and execute monitoring plans and test scripts to assess compliance with firmwide and divisional regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

  • Artifact and document process gaps and develop solid process improvement strategies and project plans.

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of business and technology areas, products, systems, and supporting functions

  • Design, develop and maintain the RPM Process Performance Indicator (PPI) library, ensuring visibility and transparency to strategic objectives of the DMR Group.

  • Evaluate and understand the evolving informational needs of the underlying business functions being supported to anticipate changes and “what if” scenarios.

  • Recognize where informational gaps exist, and partner with the business, risk, technology and operations teams to understand and accurately document these gaps to ensure data expectations are appropriately managed and these gaps are overcome.

  • Assist in ensuring artifacts exists to evidence informational lineage across multiple sources and businesses. Standardize these in accordance with data management best practices for consistent performance reporting.

  • Safeguard the integrity and accuracy of DMR and PA solutions with strong governance routines, data exception and drift analysis.

  • Collaborate with Technology to bring efficiencies in business process through the appropriate adoption and integration of technological solution / tools and corporate-wide solutions.

  • Follow up with stakeholders on the remediation of issues identified during monitoring

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong academic background - 4 year related business, informational systems, math, or accounting degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • 3 + years’ experience in a data, analytics and / or reporting role OR 3 + years’ experience of audit and / or process management required.

  • Solid analytical / logical mindset and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of information management practices (e.g. structured vs unstructured data).

  • Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.

  • Mortgage banking or other financial industry experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of SQL concepts and ETL tools preferred (e.g. SSIS).

  • Experience developing in Tableau, Cognos, SSRS is preferable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Excel.

  • Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required.

  • Maintains composure and attentiveness under pressure, tight deadlines and increased workflow.

  • Familiar with Project Management concepts and / or has excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong and concise communication techniques and manage internal and external relationships.

  • Ability to see work through to completion, manage expectations and provide timely updates.

  • Outstanding initiative and excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Ability to work in a geographically diverse team and build strong relationships across locations and regions
