PwC Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in Dallas, Texas

A career in our Innovation Development practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' redesign, redefine, and redeploy their assurance and/or tax departments to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, Open Source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.

Our team helps our clients create a guided path to innovation by developing the right methods that generate insight based ideas, and to select, produce and commercialise the most valuable and viable results. You’ll focus on software driven innovation strategy, software technology diligence, operating model design, software product planning and management, and software architecture and cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

5 year(s) in tax software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies.

Certification(s) Required :

CPA, Member of Bar, OR one of the following; Enrolled Agent, PhD - Computer Science/Information Science (OR STEM Equivalent), Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt (Lean, Green, Black, Master), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate - Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science Program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Developer (JAVA, SQL, SAP), Lotus Professional Certification, Certified Software Quality Analyst (QAI), Certified Software Quality Test Engineer (QAI), Masters - Computer Science/Information Science, Oracle Certified Professional , Professional Certification in Business Analysis, Certified Compensation Professional, Global, Remuneration Professional, Technology Specialist: Adobe Technologies, or Technology Specialist: IBM Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies, preferably for a global network of professional services firms. Including the following areas:

  • Software testing methods, such as functional testing, fuzz testing, stress testing, performance/load testing, and failure injection;

  • Continuous Integration/deployment, white box, grey box, functional, smoke, and regression testing;

  • TDD (Test-driven development), BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and ATDD (Acceptance Test-Driven Development) in an agile environment;

  • Scanning tools such as: SonarQube, NDepend or Fortify;

  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XPath;

  • Coding standards, code reviews, code refactoring, design patterns;

  • Software Quality Characteristics at unit and system level;

  • Technical debt analysis and quality adjusted productivity; and,

  • Exploratory and usability testing and understanding of RDBMS, SQL and database testing.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Working in CI/CD environments;

  • Developing applications or tools using scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, Perl, or an equivalent;

  • Understanding of tools such as TFS, Jenkins, git, Octopus Deploy/Chef/Puppet, SpecFlow/FitNesse, and Selenium WebDriver;

  • Investigating complex problems and writing automation systems to validate system; and,

  • Writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently to and/or for all levels of audiences, clients and internal staff and management.

Demonstrates success as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset. Preferred familiarity with a CRM system.

Demonstrates knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to:- innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions;

  • working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients;

  • utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements

Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies.
