Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides lending operations and servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business. These functions include loan documentation, closing and funding, payment and fee processing, syndication loan and trade processing, credit administration and collateral perfection and management.
The Operations Manager will lead a team with credit authority who manages risk by reviewing and taking action on Overdrafts and TSS (Treasury and Securities Services) exposures for Business Banking clients using various credit systems. Provides leadership and is accountable for team success to include ensuring a high level of productivity, high quality work product, timely and excellent customer service levels, risk management, policy and procedure management for the functions managed, and maintaining compliance with respect to Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures
Ensures excellent service levels, high level of communication, performance, production, and quality of team results. Serves as a leader and expert for the team as well as Business Banking Risk and market partners. Partners with Risk, Market and others to support the channels efforts to effectively balance the need to facilitate payment flows in accordance with risk requirements while continuing to drive efficiencies and automation opportunities.
Typical Job Duties:
Develop and implement best practices related to management of Business Banking customer overdrafts, overlimits and wire funding. Manages individual and team performance goals and expectations. Manages credit and compliance risk to the bank to include responsibility for ensuring satisfactory audits and reviews internally and externally. Responsible for support of process and policy initiatives designed to improve speed, quality, overall efficiency, and risk management for Business Banking. Responsible for development and implementation of ongoing improved methods of processes, procedures, and delivery methods.
Requires 5+ years’ experience with credit risk, process management and compliance. Knowledge of deposit systems a plus.
Proven leader and manager with 5+ years' managerial/leadership experience and excellent oral and written communication skills, negotiation skills, and project management experience.
Results oriented professional with strong knowledge of laws and regulations affecting appropriate funds management for Business Banking clients.
Expert knowledge of payment flows, customer patterns, relevant current events, and significant transactions.
Ability to make appropriate decisions in a high volume environment.
Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate daily production management
Excellent attention to detail, oral and written communication and public speaking skills.
