The F&BM Business Manager Function:
The Finance & Business Management (F&BM) for Shared Services Technology and Operations (T&O) is seeking a business manager to support the administrative, strategic and financial health of the T&O teams for several cross functional divisions for Asset and Wealth Management. These include Infrastructure, Applications Support, Technical Data Management, and Technical Architecture.
This role will report directly to the F&BM Lead for Shared Services Technology and Operations. It will also have dotted line responsibilities to the Technology Heads for each respective area.
Business Management & Strategy
Project portfolio management and governance
Annual and ongoing budget process
Spans & layers (Span of Control) Management
Support Tech offsites, town halls, MD/ED sessions and help collate/construct presentation materials.
Work with Tech and Ops Leads to establishing strategic direction
Serve as a sounding board on general priorities, communications, town halls
Content creation for Communications
Expense management including direct expenses, indirect expenses and forecasting
Drive / Track efficiencies
Allocation administration and management
Total Cost of Ownership / Profitability analysis
Cost center / legal entity maintenance
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area
Adept at traversing between business, technology and operations teams to drive consensus and alignment
Quick learner who can delve into new and complex subject matter, quickly get up to speed and drive decision making, airing out options
Excellent business writer, storyteller, crafter of executive messages and framing technology problems in English for non-technical audience
Ability to thrive in unstructured, high pressure environment
Delivery and impact-focused
Strong change agent
