JPMorgan Chase Associate, Technology Operations in Columbus, Ohio
Duties: Manage, maintain, and support data storage solutions including EMC VMAX and VNX arrays, HUS, 3Par, as well as IBM XIV. Identify opportunities for performance improvement on CISCO and BROCADE SAN fabrics. Participate in priority 1 or hotline calls on different issues and working towards resolution based on the issues being faced by the client; such as performance, out of storage space or storage unavailability. Perform detailed array/host level SAN performance analysis and recommend solutions to clients by using tools like EMC Unisphere for Vmax, Hitachi Tuning Manager and other performance analysis tools. Remediate SAN side performance related issues proactively. This includes remediating issues both in arrays and SAN fabrics. Perform SAN switch technology operations and management of Brocade switches like DCX 8510, DCX Backbone and 5100 Series. Perform SAN Switch technology operations and management of Cisco Switches like 9222i, MDS 95xx and MDS 97xx. Storage provisioning including zoning, LUN masking, performance management, and volume management on EMC Symmetrix Series namely DMX, Vmax-1, Vmax 10k, Vmax40k, Vmax3 100k, 400k, 250F, IBM XIV, HP 3Par and Hitachi USP and VSP. Emergency deploy of storage to hosts including local and remote replication using technologies like Clone, Snap and SRDF. Attend technical and management calls for incident resolution and root cause analysis upon requirement. Execute assigned ITSM change tasks as per JPMC standards and controls. Participate in global team that manages various SAN, NAS & Backup Management tools. Troubleshoot various issues pertaining to EMC Solutions Enabler, Unisphere for Vmax, HCS, Sanscreen, EMC ViPR and EMC SRM, ESRS, BNA, DCNM and Netbackup Opscenter. Deploy new instances of management applications to onboard new SAN, NAS & Backup infrastructure. Upgrade various management applications to the latest code once approved by SAN Engineering, such as Unisphere for Vmax, ViPR Controller, ViPR SRM. Assist onboarding various assets into ViPR Controller & ViPR SRM and create reports.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field plus 2 years of experience in enterprise storage and system administration and engineering, or related experience OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field plus 5 years of experience in enterprise storage and system administration and engineering, or related experience.
*Skills required: Experience deploying storage in a large enterprise storage environment. Knowledge of storage replication technologies including SNAP, CLONE, SRDF, and Hitachi TRUE COPY. Experience performing management and administration of enterprise storage arrays EMC Symmetrix, VNX; HP 3PAR; Hitachi USP, VSP; and IBM XIV. Experience performing management and administration of SAN director class switches - Brocade DCX and Cisco MDS. Experience installing, maintaining and administering storage management application BNA, DCNM, Unisphere, Hitachi Command Suite, and Hp StorServ. Experience installing, maintaining and administering Enterprise storage Integration, Automation and reporting tools VIPR, ViPR SRM and NetApp Sanscreen. Experience troubleshooting SAN and Storage layer issues. Demonstrated knowledge of server layer settings IO load patterns, Qdepth and load balancing. Demonstrated knowledge of basic RAID, storage tiering, storage architecture concepts, storage virtualization, local and datacenter replication practices, and storage best practices.
