Function: Product Engineering

Title: Engineering Analyst - 50001

Your Responsibilities

As an Engineering Analyst at John Deere Coffeyville Works (JDCW) in Coffeyville, Kansas, you will serve as a global administrator of our Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) system. You will:

  • Manage daily and weekly reports to locate errors; troubleshoot and correct issues accordingly

  • Create and process security approvals

  • Maintain global products and distribution lists

  • Create new projects and engineering change requests (ECRs) in SAP

  • Complete design control transfers

  • Complete engineering change management (ECM) documents and lead time planning reports

  • Approve project transactions, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with engineers to resolve issues

  • Process tickets and requests to communicate issues needing support and resolution

  • Maintain the initial stock order (ISO) table for service parts planning

  • Support Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) testing for new software releases

  • Lead the JDCW EPDM Subject Matter Expert (SME) team and cooperate in coordination and execution of relevant training for factory specifications and engineering support

  • Download ECMs to the factory as assigned

  • Support JDCW Gate 4 process

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of experience with SAP

  • Experience with PDMLink/Windchill

  • Strong grasp of technical and computer processes

  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical products such as axles, gearboxes, and transmissions

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving computer system issues

  • Solid understanding of SAP software such as Net Weaver Business Client (NWBC)

  • Experience with C-Projects / Task Management

  • Solid understanding of PDMLink

  • Understanding of the John Deere Part-Level Product Delivery Process (PLPDP) and Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)

  • Experience with the Worldwide Information System for Engineers (WISE)

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience interfacing with data from Pro/Engineer or Creo Parametric

  • Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Four-year college degree in an engineering/technology, information technology, computer, or business discipline preferred
