The Team Leader directs an integrated team of Bankers, Investors, Lenders and support people who are responsible for new client acquisition and retention in the market. This team acquires and services clients through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. This role is primarily responsible for management and the strategic growth of the business overall but also is accountable for the client experience and engaging our resources to deliver a complete wealth management solution to the clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a “player-coach” to lead, develop and nurture a growing market within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
Strategic planning and growth of the team and market opportunities
Overall responsibility for leading and developing a team of Bankers, Investors and Support staff
Ensure an effective approach to hiring and retaining the best talent, performance management, talent management, training and integration of new joiners within the market
Ability to expand our credit & AUM client relationships for the market
Provide on-going coaching and feedback to ensure bankers are leveraging and coordinating specialists (Investor, Capital Advisor, Trust and Estate Advisor and Wealth Advisor) to provide interdisciplinary expertise for our most complex clients
Manage day to day operations to ensure systematic, forward thinking and disciplined approach to sales management, client acquisition, and servicing clients
Track record of successfully building and growing a business within Wealth Management
Ability to drive change and implement disciplined management practices
Ability to expand your AUM client book within the UHNW space
Demonstrated ability to manage complex teams and drive strong execution and performance
Ability to influence and problem solve to address any implementation challenges
Significant experience of managing budgets and compensation planning
Proven sales and client relationship skills
Strong relationship management, partnership and team building skills
Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, banking and trust concepts including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and estate products and identification of wealth planning opportunities
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA-preferred, CFP/CFA – preferred
Series 7 & 63 licenses required for position; however, unlicensed candidates will be considered but required to obtain licenses within 120 days of start date
