JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking - Transaction Processing Specialist - Wholesale Lending Services - Chicago, IL in Chicago, Illinois

Wholesale Loan Operations (WLO) services several lines of businesses within JPMorgan Chase, including Business Banking, Global Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Commercial Banking. The group consists of approximately 2,000 employees and is responsible for over $500 billion in loans outstanding.

The Transaction Processing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing loan bookings and various forms of monetary related transactions on the applicable commercial loan system. Candidates will also be asked to participate in projects assigned by the Manager. High volumes and daily deadlines are routine for this portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

  • Setup and fund new loan bookings, renewals, and modifications on commercial loan system

  • Ensure funding and related offsets to general ledger are in compliance with daily procedures

  • Process payments, rate resets, and quote payoffs

  • Process miscellaneous debits and credits as they relate to loan disbursements

  • Research detailed requests from the line of business partners related to processed transactions

  • Process maintenance to system related to normal accrual and non-performing loan transactions

  • Review of documentation to ensure compliance, credit, audit, and funding/pre-funding requirements are met.

  • Review of approval and executed documents to ensure approval is consistent with executed documents.

  • Process Funding/Pre-Funding applicable funding requests by wire and DDA.

  • Use of VLS Loan system and multiple supporting systems including Aurora, RLOTs and Apstar.

  • Communicating and clarifying information regarding the loan booking package with the markets.

  • Review and respond to feedback presented by the QIP (Quality Improvement Program) team.

  • Responsible for meeting service level expectations in addition to team and individual productivity and quality goals

Qualifications

  • A college degree or 2-3 years of Financial services or Operations experience required

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized with the ability to multi-task

  • Strong client servicing skills

  • Understands the importance of details and seeks to understand their impacts; methodical approach to tasks; procedure/process oriented.

  • Works with a sense of urgency; seeks out and adapts to best practices; seeks constant improvement; motivated by personal and departmental goals.

  • Proficient in use of all MS Office programs; can navigate multiple applications making use of shortcuts; can quickly adopt new systems.

  • Preferred prior experience in Commercial Loan Booking & Funding, Loan Processing.

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads, while working within tight service levels.

  • OT required occasionally

  • High Business Value Entitlements (HVBE) required in this position – Criminal Background and Credit screening required prior to hiring and annually thereafter
