Sodexo Operations LLC Program Specialist 1 in CHEEKTOWAGA, New York

Unit Description

Sodexo has an immediate opening for a Program Specialist 1 in the Accounts Payable - Vendor Master & Purchase Card department at our Financial Services Center in Cheektowaga, NY.

Duties/Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to cardholders ensuring compliance to company policy

  • Interact with peers and various management levels to resolve outstanding items

  • Serve as a liaison between the cardholder and Card Provider (Citi)

  • Assist employees with submission of expense reports using Concur (expense reporting tool)

  • Process card applications ensuring proper approvals are obtained

  • Modifying and cancel cards due to employee transfer or termination

  • Monitor and adjust credit limits as required

  • Maintain cardholder spreadsheet ensuring data is current and accurate

  • Log card changes in HEAT or similar call center application

  • Process IDOC errors

  • Notify cardholders of unprocessed transactions older than 45 days as required – follow up to ensure they are processed

  • Assist in implementing and affecting company policy on Purchase Card processes, adherence to audit program, and investigation of potential duplicate payment purchases

  • Proactively raise issues and concerns with stakeholders and management regarding day to day tasks and formulate plans for resolution

  • Develop desk procedures and training as necessary

  • Assist in special projects as needed

Minimum Education/Experience Required

  • 3-5 years accounting experience including 2 years accounts payable

  • 1-2 years of SAP AP Module experience (preferred)

  • Experience in audit program of expenditures a plus

  • 2-3 years experience in a credit card, Purchase card or Travel card program

  • Experience with Concur expense recording system preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of management

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Must be a self-starter with high degree of initiative

  • Ability to gain confidence and respect of management and staff through attributes such as professionalism and positive attitude

  • Demonstrated organization and comprehension skills

  • Ability to prioritize and maintain core responsibilities/accountabilities while simultaneously involved in multiple department initiatives

  • Extensive use of computer applications in the accumulation, evaluation and interpretation of data

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Willing to put in necessary time to complete tasks on schedule and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products & Outlook

Position Summary

Typically administers a program(s) or a portion of a program(s) within a department. Provides support by gathering information for analysis, reports and correspondences. Program(s) may have a Division-wide or company-wide scope. Work is generally administrative or project oriented, but is generally structured and repetitive in nature. Procedures and guidelines are predetermined to prescribe how the assignments should be performed. Works under general supervision, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
