Job Description:

Enterprise Role Overview:

Provides technical accounting support to GFC group, supports new standard implementation, reviews 1934 Act SEC filings, acts as an advocate for BAC with accounting standard setters, works on special accounting projects for BAC Controller.

Provides complex accounting guidance to CAO, controllers, GFC staff, LOB CFO's and their staff

  • Participates in the implementation of new accounting standards and overall accounting changes

  • Dedicated support to the CECL accounting standard implementation project through Q1 2020

  • Researches technical accounting inquiries from business partners

  • Drafts technical accounting memos

  • Monitors standard setting organizations and evolving standard setting agenda

  • Support the build out and maintenance of the Accounting Policy Manual

  • Reviews and/or writes sections of the Corporation's 34 Act SEC filings

  • Interacts directly with PwC audit engagement management and staff

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree of Accountancy

  • 3-5 years accounting experience

  • Some exposure to technical accounting issues

  • Exposure to Bank regulations and SEC requirements

  • Prior Big-4 audit experience a plus (not required)

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to understand and dissect complex transactions

  • Strong communication skills including written and oral presentation skills

  • Self motivated

  • Excellent time management skills
