Sr. Business Control Specialist

The Global Procurement Program Oversight & Controls team is part of the Global Corporate Services organization. Our team’s primary focus is to provide Third Party Program Oversight and design/implement Third Party Program Controls.

Key priorities for our team include ownership of program documentation, control design & oversight, and testing/assessments of program execution. Our business partners include Procurement Executives, Procurement associates, Third Party Portfolio Executives, Enterprise Vendor Managers, Compliance, Risk and Legal and various Control Functions.

The teammate in this role is responsible for participating in executing on-going oversight routines and support control design and quality management of Bank of America’s Third Party program.

Specifically, this role may have some responsibilities tied to testing/monitoring, issue support, initiatives and ad hoc support. As part of the responsibilities of the role, this teammate will develop business partner relationships with Third Party Program Stakeholders (Audit, Compliance, Risk, FLU/CFs) and other Global Procurement team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement key Program Oversight & Controls Initiatives

  • Deliver Third Party monitoring for various enterprise stakeholders

  • Participating in risk identification dialogue and implementing routines and mechanisms to influence behavior

  • Support resolution of program related issues & emerging risks

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Third Party Management program requirements

  • Developing business partner relationships with multiple FLU representatives, third party/vendor managers, sourcing managers, and operations teammates

  • Maintaining an understanding of FLU business goals and objectives

  • Throughout the tenure of this role the teammate should gain exposure and acumen related to Third Party oversight & controls practices

Required Skills

  • BS/BA

  • 2+ years project management/execution experience, or equivalent Vendor Management Program Experience, or equivalent monitoring and testing experience, or equivalent regulatory/compliance experience

  • Experience executing or supporting risk and control activities

  • Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, strong prioritization and time management skills

  • Requires strong organizational skills

  • Attention to detail and high quality work product(s)

  • Ability to navigate in a highly complex organization and operate effectively in changing environment

  • Proficient computer/software skills - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
