Bank of America Senior Test Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina
Position: Quality Assurance Leader for Cash Servicing and Exceptions Technology
Key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) at a program level within Cash Servicing and Exceptions lines of business. As a senior member of the technical staff, assists senior business and IT management in determining the direction of current and future developments in area of expertise. This position would leverage a horizontal team that covers the direction of Agile testing, cross-team integration testing, and performance testing. This position works with business-aligned UAT team supporting their testing objectives & plays key role in defectprioritization. The goal of this leader is to bring a holistic approach quality for the Cash Servicing and Exceptions technicaldelivery.
Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.
Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers.
Expertise in QA methodologies and the QC/ALM product for test script & defect management.
Expertise in testing web applications including tools to manipulate HTTP head fields, using SQL tools to query & manipulate database tables, and the ability to do command line tools to navigate directories, copy & edit data files, and execute shell scripts.
Experience with Agile software development practices, identifying & prioritizing testing strategies for monthly production deployment, and overseeing & guiding the work of other testers.
Experience leading performance testing strategies in order to push out performance issues prior to production.
- Experience in test automation using QTP/UFT or similar tools and familiarity with Rally for task & defect management.
