Job Description Summary

The Global Risk Analytics Technology team within the Risk & Finance Technology group is looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineer to help further develop an Apache Spark based distributed analytics platform.

The role is a senior software developer with distributed computing technologies experience and expertise in Python, C/C++ or Java.

Our engineers take pride in their craft and delivery expertly engineered code. The team consists of extremely talented engineers, who developed industry leading risk management platform, advanced NoSQL database, and well-known open source projects, etc.

Job Description

  • Design and build horizontally scalable components within the major platform that the team is developing

  • Write reusable and extendable code and become a key contributor of the core platform

  • Partner with other departments to design and deploy critical systems on our infrastructure

  • Consistently work to make our software simpler

  • Challenge yourself and your peers to always improve

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Python, C/C++ or Java

  • Back end server side development experience.

  • Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases. Very good at interacting with end users and other technology users

  • Strong in Computer Science and/or Math

  • Strong in Algorithms and Data Structures

  • Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust micro services.

  • Experience with web services development and REST interfaces

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Math

  • Experience with modern front-end web-based technologies is a plus.

  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem solving
