Verizon Inventory Planning Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

What you’ll be doing...

The Inventory Planning Manager will be responsible for managing all network inventory and ensuring our internal customers receive the material they need in time to provide the service levels Verizon customer expect.

  • Build and manage relationships with our key material and services suppliers to further strategic initiatives.

  • Establish inventory monitoring across the multiple locations/nodes of the regional supply chain.

  • Execute inventory replenishment, rebalance and burn rates to minimize stranded / dedicated material at Verizon locations.

  • Lead the team to ensure supplier and project oriented on-time delivery to install schedule need date.

  • Drive a standard consolidated view of supply readiness for project (e.g. MSOLV) to align project-based supply needs that fulfill network engineering build requirements across multi-supplier projects.

  • Lead the team that coordinates equipment requirements with assigned markets and assist field managers with maintaining accurate inventories through semi-annual inventories.

  • Manage the team that monitors min/max levels for assigned markets through weekly analysis, while increasing/decreasing as necessary to support forecasts and installations.

  • Communicate with COE Supply Planning, transportation, engineering and construction to ensure all material is received. Manage backlog of material issues.

  • Manage regional inventory to Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Process.

  • SME (Subject Matter Expert) and responsible for training markets and internal team members on the ERP and Inventory system(s).

  • Coordinate with logistics for GC pick-up/delivery.

  • Manage inventory to Days of Supply Targets in partnership with Replenishment Planning.

  • Conduct field visits and manage service supplier (asset in transfer) aging material.

  • Inventory rebalance – shifting material between contractor facilities based on needs of the business by optimizing inventory if there should be delays in material.

  • Proactively engage stakeholders to ensure current and future needs are met and maintain a working knowledge of supply chain, systems, material and install suppliers, and best practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Supply Chain transformation experience.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or Master’s degree in relevant field - Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering.

  • Ten or more years of industry experience with strong competency in supply chain and item master management.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience developing and delivering executive communication via advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a successful record of engaging and influencing collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to apply data analytic techniques to pinpoint opportunities and design and implement strategic initiatives.

  • Current warehouse managerial experience.
