The team is constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to find ways all our digital platforms can empower customers to reach their financial goals in more customized, intuitive, innovative, engaging, secure, and time-saving ways. Associate-Facing Systems (AFS) and ATM is the portfolio of initiatives and channels that support our employees and customers engaging in digital interfaces in physical environments. The mandate for this team is threefold: Proactively develop influential visions and points-of-view of the employee and customer experiences; Create innovative experiences for strategic product development; Deliver design specifications and assets to support rapid deployment.

As an Experience Design Director, Digital+Physical you will

Drive user-centered experiences for its digital and physical platforms which include mobile, web, ATM, Financial Centers, Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging technologies. Set the vision for AFS/ATM experiences. Explore opportunities for future innovations through design research, leveraging trends/insights (user, tech, business) to spot opportunities for innovation. Collaborate with business, technology, and other partners to optimize the customer experience within initiative constraints. Evangelize and lead design processes that generate breakthrough solutions. Structure and facilitate design thinking workshops and generative projects, exploring opportunities and delivering product/service concepts. Maximize research and user-centered design methodologies to keep the focus on the customer as the most important, differentiating aspect of our products. Deliver on time and on budget. Actively manage the flow of initiatives to negotiate engagement, process, and timelines, assign the right resources, and ensure the highest quality is delivered in the shortest timeframe possible. Work across multiple platforms. Design customer experiences that may begin in one platform and continue and end on another, recognizing that physical and digital boundaries are merging. Manage teams of designers in creating visions, concepts, and selling partners on the great work the UX organization does. Hold each team member to the highest level of quality and professionalism. Ensure a portfolio of design work is delivered on time and on budget while finding creative ways to get the most out of teams, partners, and processes.

You’re a person who has (required skills)

  • 10 + years of design experience, including at least 5 years in a lead or senior designer role, with a track record of managing and inspiring people to achieve their maximum potential

  • An outstanding portfolio that exemplifies excellence in experience design

  • Mastery of human-centered design methodologies and rapid ideation processes such as Lean XD and Design Sprints

  • Deep expertise in designing for mobile applications and responsive web

  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-channel industry standards and best practices

  • A high level of proficiency with design tools, including the Adobe suite, Axure and Sketch

And you are a person who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an intense focus onachievingresults

  • Collaborates effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships

  • Is exceptional at problem-solving, issue resolution and time management

  • Demonstrates strong listening, communication and presentation skills

  • Is a continuous learner who adapts quickly and positively to change

  • Embraces the opportunity to work side by side with other designers and partners in a studio context (not remote)

  • Is available to travel up to 20% of time, and is able to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed

You’ll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)

  • Master’s degree in design or Bachelor’s with compensating experience

  • 10+ years of design experience and 8+ years of years of work experience as a lead/senior designer

  • Financial or similar industry experience preferred

  • Project management experience a plus
