Operations Delivery Lead

The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for an Production Operations Team Lead position in the Charleston, SC area.

The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. The Production Operations Lead acts as a digital lead with a focus on delivery, production operations best practices, cloud architecture including on-prem, hybrid, and public, monitoring, configuration management, and Agile leadership. Mentor, develop, and manage highly productive competency leads who can develop solutions for customer needs. Provide overall operational vision and delivery of digital platform solutions including Health and Human Services, VA, and commercial health and life sciences. Lead existing administrative, capability, and matrixed delivery teams to conceive, architect, assemble, and operate digital platform solutions. Build a capacity to position the team and the firm for modern operational practices focused on digital platforms for the firm. Align solutions with business needs, create innovative approaches to address market and client requirements, and leverage relationships with technology vendors or startup companies.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in leadership of Web-based operations supporting Linux, Windows, WebLogic, and Java-based applications

-5+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure administration leadership

-Experience with creating and maintaining documentation of all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures

-Experience with maintaining responsibility for client deliverable documentations and SLA creation and acting as the interface between technical teams and clients

-Experience with Agile methodologies

-Ability to translate client requirements into technical action plans and develop customer relationships along with external partner integration relationships

-Ability to develop, implement, and review standard operating procedures and work practice that focus on standardization and continuous improvement

-Ability to coordinate the work activities of the Cloud operations team, including managing the day-to-day work execution

-Ability to lead a team in performing application release and path deployments and determining operational monitoring and incident response protocols and implementation

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cloud migration efforts

-Knowledge of IaaS and PaaS capabilities within Microsoft Azure and AWS

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management

-Certification in AWS or Azure
