2019 ReEntry Program – Finance
The ReEntry Program is a 14-week fellowship program, beginning March, 2019 and ending June, 2019, with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JP Morgan Chase at the end of the program. The program offers a reintroduction to corporate life for those returning to the workplace after two or more years voluntarily being away. The fellowship placements will be based on both business needs and candidate skill set and interest areas within our Chief Investment Office/Treasury Organization

From managing the firm’s capital and reporting quarterly earnings to responding to and complying with regulatory requirements, our job is to ensure the company is capable of navigating all types of market environments while maintaining a fortress balance sheet. The Finance function is a dynamic organization that plays a critical role, particularly as increasing regulatory and capital requirements change the way we do business. For this reason, it is essential that we have a strong structure and talented team in place.
Firmwide Controllers - is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle. The group performs critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory, as well as product valuation.
Business Management - Business manager optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. They act as a trusted advisor and counterweight to Business/Group Heads and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.
Product Control- is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Line of Business (LOB) books and records. In addition, responsible for Monthly and Quarterly US regulator reporting for the LOBs.
Financial Control- includes such activities as reconciliations from product and risk management systems through to the general ledger, as well as substantiation processes.
Planning & Financial Analysis- is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating the firmwide budgeting and forecasting process, including the short- and long-term projection of earnings, balance sheet and capital over varying economic scenarios
What We Look For:
Ideal candidates for the program are creative, innovative team players with analytical, technical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills. Individuals must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner. The ability to relate well to external clients and internal partners and establishing strong working relationships is a crucial requirement of the program.
The candidates’ background and interest will determine where they will be placed within the Firmwide Finance businesses. Individuals with previous (5+ years) experience relevant to the businesses noted above are encouraged to apply.
