MAXIMUS Clinical Researcher in Bristol, United Kingdom

The Clinical Researcher’s role is to support the Healthcare Practitioner in obtaining Further Evidence in order to produce a Paper Based Assessment. This role will primarily be used on DVs and would require chasing of FE as well as potentially visiting claimants to gain further evidence. The role could be used to chase other FE as part of filework sessions.

• To obtain Further Evidence to support Healthcare Professional to complete Paper Based Assessments for customers in relation to a variety of benefits.

• Contacting customers and healthcare professionals by phone to obtain further medical evidence

• Occasional Face to Face discussion with claimants in their own home

• Use of IT software to support collation of Further Evidence

• To analyse, interpret and present clinical information and medical evidence in a concise and accurate manner that allows the Health Care Professional to provide logical and medically reasonable advice to the DWP.

• To work well as part of a team and build positive working relationships with both medical and administrative support staff.

• Effective interaction with members of the Medical Profession

• Effective interaction with people with a range of medical conditions and disabilities demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity.

• Highly developed oral and written communication skills and ability.to present relevant information to the individual case.

• Attention to detail and analytical skills

• Information gathering and observational skills

• Honesty, integrity and adherence to customer and Authority confidentiality.

• Good understanding of differing types of health conditions/disabilities including mental health.

• Diversity or disability awareness training would be desirable.

• Experience of gathering information within the medical field

• Experience of face to face customer service

• IT literate with experience of using a range of software

• Professional registration
